One thing I did want to make clear—when I said I thought it best for me to step back from the Director search process, I was referring to my role of taking our wishes about the search process to the dean’s office. I am still very interested in how the process plays out and would add my voice as a faculty member until my actual retirement—May 31. I’m happy to hear that others—Tyler and Kelly—have taken up advocacy organization roles. Please include me as a faculty member as well. I think we’ll be ok no matter the outcome of the process and timing, and will of course do everything I can to interest a wide pool of candidates. I'll participate ultimately in whatever way the committee wishes, whether now or later. Thank you again, —John
