Hi all, Thanks for all your help with finding a way forward with the website project here in Performing Arts. Tracey Dahl, our business coordinator over here, has suggested that we put some things down in writing to document for accounting purposes that we're moving forward with our website project with authorization from IT and University Relations. Kathryn, Marc, and Steve: Could you reply-all (sorry everyone) with acceptance of (or edits to) the below? The Division of Performing Arts (DPA) has some specialized website needs that have outgrown our current hosting plan provided by IT and are beyond what is currently offered by the university's Content Management System (CMS), Typo3. University Relations is currently working toward moving the university's website to a new CMS that will meet our needs, but migrating DPA to that system will not occur until Spring 2025 at the earliest. University Relations authorizes Performing Arts to host a website outside of the currently-offered website hosting options, with the understanding that Performing Arts will migrate their pages into the new CMS once that option is available. Given both the temporary and specialized nature of this website project, IT authorizes Performing Arts to host their website with an external vendor (DigitalOcean, or any other mutually-agreeable vendor), to be funded, maintained, and updated by Performing Arts, for a period of 9 to 18 months. Performing Arts will work with IT to ensure server security, DNS record changes, certificate installation, webpage redirects, and other actions deemed necessary for the security and proper branding of the website.
